We Are The Heroes Foundation – Our Mission

‘Wake Up the Heroes of Tomorrow in Our Children Today’

Our Mission is to make Art Education available for every child in Jamaica. We Are The Heroes Foundation envisions a Jamaica, where every child has access to high quality and lifelong learning experiences in The Arts, both in school and in the community.

We Are The Heroes Foundation – Our Vision

We believe that our children are the future heroes and leaders of the world and we need to encourage them to express themselves creatively. We believe that learning in The Arts, enables every individual to develop the critical thinking, collaborative and creative skills necessary to succeed in the ever changing diverse and global economies of today’s world.

We want to encourage children to be a part of their community and to discover the hero within their self. We want to hand them the tools that encourage creativity, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. We believe it is important to philosophise with children, to start dialogues and to make plans for the future.

We Are We Are The Heroes Foundation wants to create a platform of creativity for children, artists and educators. We want to hand tools to children and educators and make them accessible to everyone.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela

We Are The Heroes Foundation –  Short History

We Are The Heroes Foundation is a young charity based in Saint Andrew, Jamaica. With our headquarters just outside of Kingston, our Foundation aims to make Art Education available for every child in Jamaica.

In the beginning of 2017, Tina Sureda Castello (Aka Onesty) started to develop educational tools and to give free Art Educational Workshops for schools in Jamaica. With the growing support of international and local artists, community leaders and educators, the We Are The Heroes Foundation is launching a creative storm of change.

We Are The Heroes Foundation was officially incorporated as a charity in Jamaica, in January 2018. With the help of our sponsors we are ready to undertake some fundamental steps towards Our Mission. Our materials are available for Schools, Community Centres and other groups, the reservations can be made online. Our Headquarters are open on Sundays, where we offer a free Arts Programme for children aged between 6 and 12 years old.
